Amanda's first words started around 8 months and she has not stopped since.  By the time she was 12 months she had about a 20 word vocabulary.  Her pediatrician said she was progressing quite normally and was able to do everything a 1 year old could do. She had not started walking however, which was of little concern to us at the time.  At this time we still had no idea that Amanda had SWS
